[ on nina's bed is a wrapped present with a knitted red scarf with matching silken gloves, a perfect color match for the corporalki kefta. in addition to that is a dozen handmade chocolates, packed with great care, along with a beautifully crafted hair piece, with pretty roses crafted from shining metal.

[Among the packages dropped off for Alina, Inej, and Kaz, there is one for Nina: a large tin bursting with assorted sweets. Some are inspired by traditional Ravkan desserts while others will be new to her. Most have clearly been made by a professional baker, but a pair of gingerbread cookies tucked in one side appear to be homemade...
